MWBL To Extend Offer To LeBron James
The upstart MidWest Basketball League is excited to announce that
they will be officially extending a contract offer to LeBron James.

"With the start of the NBA Free Agency period", MWBL President
Chip Rossetti said, "we decided to throw our hat in the ring in the
LeBron James Sweepstakes."

In this unpresidented move, the MWBL is extending Mr. James an
"Open Contract". This deal would allow Mr. James to pick which
MWBL team he would like to play for. It is believed that this is the
first time that a League has offered a player this type of contract.

"We certainly believe that Mr. James is MWBL material", Rossetti continued. "There has been some talk
about him going to Chicago. I assure you that our Chicago team, the Flights, would welcome him with open
arms. We would just have to work out the particulars on the contract."

"We would be thrilled to have LeBron come to our team," Chicago Flights Owner Kendrick Holmes said.
"There is just something about him that I believe would make our team better. If he likes Chicago, I don't
see any reason why he couldn't sign with the Flights."

"We realize that we are competing with a lot of other teams for Mr. James's services", Rossetti said, "but we
think that the appeal of Mr. James coming to a new league, just getting started, gives him a new and
exciting challenge. We hope that he considers our offer."

Unlike many others that are offering contracts, the MWBL has set an August first dealine for Mr. James to
decide. If he chooses to accept the offer from the MWBL, he will then have until December 31st to decide
what team he would like to report to, prior to the April 2011 MWBL tip off.

"I guess we will see what happens", Rossetti continued. "I think we have just as good of a chance as
anyone else."

MidWest Basketball League Invaded By Ducks
The Kansas City Ducks, that is. The MWBL is excited to welcome the second team to
its Western Division. The Kansas City Ducks are owned by Raytown native Patrick
Rowles.

The new owner, PC Rowles, is a lifetime resident of Kansas City, Mo. A graduate of
Indiana University and CEO of Baller's Inc. Kansas City, Patrick and his wife
Tommye are eager to start the season. “I hope to provide the best family
entertainment at an affordable price. This gives players a chance to play in the
Kansas City area and care for their families here, instead of traveling overseas to
follow their dreams.”

Pat’s work with the education system has made him a solid member of the
community. Pat also would like to play the season in Lee's Summit, Mo.

"Patrick is exactly the type of person that we want in the MWBL as an owner",

MWBL President Chip Rossetti said. "He truely cares about hsi community and wants to provide an affordable
entertainment option to the people."

Kansas City has a basketball history at the highest level, the National Basketball Association. In 1972, the Cincinnati
Royals moved to Kansas City and renamed themselves the Kings. The Royals were renamed the Kings because Kansas
City already had the Royals baseball team. The basketball team agreed to change its nickname, even though it had used
the name for 25 years before the baseball team was established. The team initially divided its home games between
Kansas City and Omaha until 1975, when it abandoned the Omaha market. During that time the team was officially called
the "Kansas City-Omaha Kings". The team netted a new superstar in Nate Archibald, who led the league in scoring and
assists.

Their final season in Kansas City, 1984–85, resulted in a dismal 31–51 record. The most notable moment of this season
lives in infamy, when New York Knicks standout Bernard King suffered a devastating knee injury on March 23. The writing
was on the wall for Kansas City. The team moved to Sacramento the next year.
